Welcome to A6

Our class is the Reception Class at Glenholme School. All the new 5 year olds come to A6 where we help them settle in comfortably at our school. Then, when they are ready, the children move on to their first "Big Class"!

Happy Sticks

We learn to use the happy sticks to help our writing. The sticks give us good fine motor coordination when we hold our pencils. We do this in time to music.

Getting ready for learning.

It's important to be good at balancing. It's important to be fit, too. This helps our brains get ready for learning. We balance on the stepping stones and learn to do forward rolls. It's fun, although not everyone is brave enough to have a go. Kazuki likes to watch.

New children in A6

Some new children have arrived in A6. Here are Aiomai, Destiny, Jamie, James, Tyrece and Jordan. It's great to have these clever new kids in our class.

Moving On

Three big A6 kids are big enough to move on to their Year One class. Rererangi, Kyra and Jago have become B6 children. They love their new class. Lots of luck, you three!

Learning to write

Krusharn is practising his pencil grip. He knows he needs to hold a pencil or pen correctly. He's doing very well, don't you think?
